چکیده

Bulk gangue is a common backfill material in solid mining. After backfilling into the goaf, bulk serves as main body to bear load of overlying strata, and its deformation resistance key factor affecting quality. In this study, laterally confined compression test broken was designed, compaction characteristics specimens under different loading rates were studied, acoustic emission (AE) energy analyzed, relationship model between macroscopic AE established. The particle flow numerical software PFC2D used stimulate breakage process, coal established through cluster units. force chain distribution fracture evolution process mechanism revealed from mesoscopic perspective. results showed that: porosity variation specimen increases with increase rate; decrease strain, decreases stress, stress monotonously decreasing. With rate, signals produced by become stronger, while influence rate on maximum fragmentation signal gradually weakened. Under rates, “instability-optimization” skeleton structure crushing-recombination cracks are reasons for at early stage loading. research great significance reveal materials compression.

Health Monitoring for Composite under Low-Cycle Cyclic Loading, Considering Effects of Acoustic Emission Sensor Type

Composites have been widely used in the aerospace industry. Due to the requirement of a high safety for such structures, they could be considered for health monitoring. The acoustic emission approach is one of most effective methods for identifying damages in composites. In this article, standard specimens were made from carbon fibers and the epoxy resin, with the [03/902/...

Quasistatic and Dynamic Regimes of Granular Material Deformation under Impulse Loading

A two-dimensional computer code, using a multi-material Eulerian finite element formulation, was used to investigate the dynamic micromechanical behavior of granular material. The main results are : The strain-rate insensitive material model provides the correct increase in the dissipated energy with an increase of shock pressure ; An increase in the initial porosity or the pressure results in ...

An acoustic emission study of plastic deformation in polycrystalline aluminium

Acoustic emission experiments were performed on polycrystalline and single crystal 99.990/0 aluminium while undergoing tensile deformation. It was found that acoustic emission counts as a function of grain size showed a maximum value at a particular grain size. Furthermore, the slip area associated with this particular grain size corresponded to the threshold level of detectability of single di...
